High school, David Cook, Bleeding love and possibly Mai no Yume #3(?)

DOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD!!!!!!!

So as some of you may or may not know, besides Arashi, I also flail with the not-so-subtle urgings of American Idol.

I haven’t really watched the previous seasons but this season has been…an interesting batch of contestants.

There was that blonde kid from the Midwest who lived in a car and sang with a British accent and whose body also looked totally twisted when he was singing.

There was the rocker-nurse chick who I knew would scare me had I just met her on the street.

There was the stripper dude. (’Nuff said.xDDDD)

There was Ramiele Malubay, the little Filipina girl who was cutesy and nice and whom Ryan loved because he was FINALLY taller than someone. Unfortunately, I don’t really think her skills were that unique. Honestly, she’d fit right in in any Filipino music show though.

There was Jason Castro, the dreadlocked boy wonder whose eyes enchanted my mother each week and whose rendition of “Somewhere Over the Rainbow” nearly made me cry.Unfortunately, his musical inexperience was his downfall but his was the happiest departure I have ever seen.

There was/is 17 year old David Archuleta, whose sparkling innocence towards the industry just draws you in. Admittedly all of the songs he sings are mushy and sentimental and they don’t really change form that but he has a refreshing appreciation for all the applause he’s given and all the compliments he’s received. His voice is pretty good too. Rather unique. Just please: sing more upbeat songs.

And then there was/is David Cook. I didn’t like him at the start. Even though I admitted that his performance of “Hello.” was pretty awesome. But he had an arrogance about him that I seriously disliked. As the weeks passed by though and he showed more of his originality, I started to luff him. He’s pretty awesome. I vote for him now. He takes songs that you think can never be changed and he makes them new again. I luff himmmmmmm. Need I say that again? He got me hooked on his version of Mariah Carey’s Always Be My Baby. And whenever I listen to it you will know because I will be in a corner going [kyaaaa!!] for three minutes and thirty seconds exactly.

Anyhoo, I’m hoping that he wins, but I’m betting that it’s Archuleta who’ll end up taking the crown.

BUT the point of this pointless part of the post is that…. DAVID COOK SANG THE MOST AMAZING RENDITIONS OF TWO SONGS THAT DEFINE HIGH SCHOOL SENTIMENTALITY IN THE PHILIPPINEEEEEESSSSSSSSS!!!!

Those two songs were “Dare You To Move” by Switchfoot and “Don’t Wanna Miss A Thing” by Aerosmith.

AND ZOMGGGGGGGG THEY WERE BOTH GOOD BUT DON’T WANNA MISS A THING NEARLY BROUGHT ME TO TEAAAARSS. {sori}

KYAAAAAA COOK IS SO MUCH LOVVVVVVVEEEEEEEEE.

Ok. Must calm down now. *giggles quietly to self instead.*

I am currently in love with Leona Lewis’s single “Bleeding Love”. The imagery in it is awesome. I have been listening to it on repeat to write the Bleeding Love Jun IPC and well not only is it stuck in my head but it’s on repeat on my iPod. *starts shooting PV for song with MatsuJun as lead*

Finally….

MAI NO YUME – SANBAN!! (#3!!)

So Oreiji and Tashii and I were somehow involved in a job in Japan. And miracle of all miracles!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We got assigned to work with Arashi for a day!!!! It involved taking down their height and weight. So we went through everyone and finally we came to Sho.

Me: Height?

Sho: Six feet. ^_^

Me: UHHHH STOP LYING YOU’RE STANDING RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME. Weight?

Sho: 42kgs

Me: ZOMG GET OUT THE MEASURING TAPE AND THE WEIGHING SCALE.

(All this time the other guys were playing around and Sho was chuckling at my disbelief.)

So we bring out the weighing scale and everything and LO AND BEHOLDDDDD

SHO IS SIX FEET TALLLLLLLL O_________O

Reiji and Tashii and I all simultaneously look then to Aiba who is happily messing around. We didn’t fail to notice that he was still taller than Sho.

Me: So how tall are YOU??!

Aiba: (grins) I’m six-five. ^_^ *goes back to happily playing.

*wakes up.*

ZOMG I SWEAR FOR FIVE MINUTES AFTER WAKING UP I THOUGHT MY DREAM WAS TRUE. AND I WAS INSANELY HAPPY BECAUSE I WAS THINKING THAT MAYBE THEY’RE NOT SO SHORT AFTER ALL.

And then i realized that it was a dream and that I did not in fact move to Japan with flailing buddies and spend a day with Arashi. T_______T

*forces self to go back to sleep*
